“It Just Takes One” (IJTO) What You Need Know

 

“It Just Takes One” is an Annual Giving Program that ensures that the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County’s programs and services are available to youth today and in the future. 

What Donors Need To Know

• Our goal for the campaign is $95,000.

• The Campaign opened on February 23^th and will close in May 

Who Has Given?

• 100% of volunteer board members  and staff members have donated to the campaign.

• 95 cents of every dollar raised through “It Just Takes One” goes directly back into club programs & services.  

• Keeping the doors open:  Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County doors open 5 days a week from 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday-Thursday and 1:00pm-6:00pm on Friday. The times when most young people in America get into trouble.

• Serving Youth: Since opening our doors in September 2007, more than 500 youth between the ages of 6-18 have become members and participated in Club programs and activities.

• Keeping Cost Low: Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County club members pay a nominal annual membership fee of $15 per year.

Investment Returns

• 57%of Club Alumni said the Club saved their life and 91% are satisfied with their adult life.

• 90% of Club Alumni graduate from High School (the average graduation rate in CO is 68%)

• 85% of Club Alumni indicated they left the Club knowing right from wrong.
