Would you like a chance to win $25,000?

Buy your Red Ball Express tickets and support your Boys & Girls Club today!

Red Ball Express is an annual fundraiser of the four Rotary Clubs in La Plata County. Purchasing a ticket for $5 adopts two red fitness balls for the ticket holder. On February 11, 2012 at 4:00 pm, over 100 red balls will race down Durango Mountain Resort. The first pair to get to the bottom of the course wins that ticket holder $5,000 cash! The second pair wins that ticket holder $2,000 cash, and the third pair to finish the course will win $1,000. As an added bonus, for the 10th year of the Red Ball Express the first place winner could win $25,000! Come out and participate in this fun event!


February 20 - 24, 2012 Winter Break Information

The Durango 9-R Schools will be closed February 20 - 24, 2012. However, the Boys & Girls Club will be open from 7:30 am to 6 pm that entire week for all Club Members. Additional sign-up is required. The cost is $15 per day or $60 for the week; field trips will be offered for each day of camp, as well as other organized activities at the Club. Smoothie King:
Local business, Smoothie King and the Durango Rec Center have partnered together to support our Club. For the month of January, go to Smoothie King, show your Rec Center pass, and 10% of your purchase will go directly to the Club. We are lucky to have such support from the community!

January 2012:
It's National Mentoring Month!  We want to thank all of our current mentors that are dedicated to making a difference at the Club.  By offering guidance, encouragement, and friendship our mentors are making huge impacts on the lives of our youth.  If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kelly Nash at 375-0010.  

Wednesday, February 8, 2012:
We have Parent Orientations for families interested in joining the Boys & Girls Club. The orientation is required in order for your children to become Club members. It begins at 6pm and lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

Friday, February 10, 2012:
Escalante, Miller, and DHS students will not have school. However, the Club will be open to these students beginning at 10 am. While there is no additional cost for students to attend the Club on this day, signing up is encouraged. The Club will be providing lunch, and hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and pool tournament with prizes. The Club will be open for all members for early release from 1 - 6 pm.
